OCCUPATIONS IN SAFETY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Safety is APRR’s number one priority. To maintain an optimal level of safety, the network must be constantly monitored and action must be taken if any incident occurs (such as an accident, breakdown, snowfall or objects in traffic lanes). Enhancing the motorway network’s safety also involves keeping watch over works areas, checking the condition of equipment and developing innovative solutions.
APRR pays special attention to the maintenance and modernisation of infrastructure entrusted to it (including roads, engineering structures and equipment). To provide travellers with optimal comfort, the Group invests in network improvements such as widening traffic lanes and building links, new exchanges and new access points in order to cater for increasing traffic volumes and optimising traffic flows.
APRR’s teams also implement an ambitious sustainable development policy aimed at optimising the network’s integration into its surrounding areas. This means preserving biodiversity, enhancing green spaces and promoting waste recycling and management, etc.
