In our operations, we are committed to reducing our carbon emissions and improving our energy efficiency.
- First, by streamlining our travel. We are optimising the energy consumption of our vehicles by transitioning 75% of our light vehicle fleet to electric by 2025. For works vans, APRR is working on the transition to hydrogen with initial commissioning in 2024-2025. At the same time, we are also taking action on the behaviour (eco-driving) and performance of our equipment (reduction of on-board load for patrol vans). Our objective is to reduce our fuel consumption by 20% between 2018 and 2025.
- Secondly, we are significantly reducing our energy consumption. We have drawn up an energy conservation charter for our everyday operations. By 2025, we aim to reduce our consumption by 10%. Our improvement programme aims to renovate 215 buildings built before 2000, representing 60,000 m2 of façades. Our objective is to reduce the energy consumption of the company's head offices by 20% by 2025.
- Finally, we produce and purchase green electricity. We are building solar farms on our sites (5 are in operation as at the beginning of 2023) and we are equipping the canopies of our electric charging stations with solar panels (9 are currently equipped) and as well as our toll gates (2 are currently equipped) and our service areas. APRR has already identified more than a hundred hectares of land under its auspices. Equipped with panels, they would produce the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 50,000 people. As for our consumption, it is fully covered by 100% certified renewable energy purchases.
